Product Specialist
Location: Mwanza
Product Speciali is accountable for the troubleshooting, repair, and preservation of mechanical and / or electrical components of underground and floor mining system and components consistent with described specifications and is also answerable for new system commissioning and schooling at customer web sites.
Responsibilities
Inspecting device for proper performance and determining faults and malfunctions
Adjusting equipment & repairing/changing defective parts components or structures in line with scope of labor to repair device to unique manufacture specifications
Testing repaired device to make sure right operational performance
Completing correct time information, technical reviews, failure reports, and elements lists.
Staying cutting-edge with industry, customer, product traits and technical satisfactory practices
Complying with SMRT safety policies and identifying/reporting any dangerous work habits
Maintaining hand tools and system to make certain safe operation
Other duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Field and Experience in Heavy Duty Equipment (or equal)
At least 7 years’ related experience with mining device (surface and underground)
Previous experience with Sandvik device would be an brought gain
Demonstrated capability to diagnose, troubleshoot and restore electrical and mechanical troubles with mining equipment
Strong written and verbal communique competencies
Computer literacy (MS Office)
Valid motive force’s license is needed
Ability and willingness to work various shifts (as required)
